Revellers from 41 schools as far as Region One participated in the parade which started at Parade Ground, Georgetown around 10:00h, and made its way east into Middle Street, north into Camp Street, East into Lamaha Street then North into Albert Street before turning right into Thomas Lands, and then to the National Park.
The energised revellers did not disappoint as they flounced to both local and Caribbean soca, while displaying their respective glittering floats that were evidently well assembled.
The floats were judged according to their degree of freshness, with which the theme was portrayed. In the aspect of clarity, the floats had to display imagination in their designs, to clearly illustrate the theme, while presentation of the costumes was judged based on aesthetic expression.
The harmonious use of colour, creative use of materials and construction of costumes, along with uniformity among each group of participants, were areas the judges scrutinised when scoring the various floats.
